Our new addition

Everyone got a gift today. My hero got a new chain saw to cut wood for his family. I got a rotary blade and mat to start quilting. The kids got 2 gerbils to play with. The gerbils got a new ball to play in, which gives the cat something to play with. The dogs gift is a break from the cat torturing him.

cakes

I wish I could find the blog that I found this idea from to give proper credit, SHOOT I just remembered maybe it is on my blog somewhere. I will make you a deal the first person to find it will when a camera strap cover for FREE. Okay, I love making these cakes because they come out so pretty. But honestly they are pricey to make. That is until this week when my friend Amber made a smores one. This one is cheap and easy
1 yellow cake mix
1 can chocolate frosting
1 package of graham crackers
1 pack of mini marshmallows
a little bit of chocolate syrup for the top.
ooh so yummy. The next one I want to make is with colored licorce (how do you spell that) and then put jelly beans on the top.
Do you have any ideas of cute cakes that could be made without busting the budget.

School has started

We actually started a few weeks ago. I knew my hero was taking a month off and we would not get much school done so we started early. This year Faith is doing a hard drive just like her brother. I like using BJU Press because there is not alot of prep work for me.
I am so excited for this school year. I am grateful that I have a husband who encourages me and helps me.
I think I posted this before but it makes me laugh so here goes.

I do not know these ladies but thought this was cute. I saw it on another blog and thought since this is our third week of school I could use the encouragement.

Five Question Friday

1. What do you do when you have time to yourself? I have actually had the last 7 days to myself. my wonderful amazing hero took our children camping. It is weird because I am in a new area and have not made friends so really it has been kinda boring. but if I was still in AL I would have had friends over to scrapbook, I would have gone to the movies. I did take a nap almost every day this week and did not cook all week

2. When you look out your kitchen window, what do you see?
the best yard ever. It is not that pretty but I have 15 pine trees and plenty of flat area for the kids to run and play

3. Who/What would you want to be reincarnated as? I honestly have no idea what so ever

4. What is your biggest pet peeve about other people's kids? when they question what my children are allowed to do

5. Regular or Diet soda? regular. my husband told me if I would try Diet for a week I would never go back to regular and he was WRONG, YUCKO

Poofed

I do not know what it means but it is what my precious 10 year old said when she came in the house running (walking, jogging) a mile with her daddy. She is determined to run with daddy and we are determined to let her.
