Finally a Cast

Finally we have a cast, I have to be honest and say the cast does not intimidate me. What worries me is that the doctor says you cannot put pressure on your leg. 

I have no idea how to keep a two year old down for the first week.

It's Not Broke

Dear Jacob, 

Maybe if you would not act so happy in the ER  they would take your not walking on your leg seriously. 

Tonight we were told you had a fracture then a spiral break which means head to toe xrays and a CT scan to prove that you are not abused ( they did not say it but it felt that way). 

After everything they assure me you do not have a broken bone. They have no idea why you can't walk but no broken bones. 

I cannot say I totally agree but I am ready to get you home too. Baby boy please heal quickly and be okay.

It is Broken

Dear Jacob, 

   It is official you have your first (hopefully last) broken bone. 

If you don't mind can we please make this the last one. You have stressed Howard out. He does not know what to think of your big band aid. 

  Oh and Jacob I am pretty sure they did not splint your leg so that you can kick your momma when she says it is bedtime.

Her Favorite Gift

I don't generally post pictures of my children's Christmas gifts because it feels like bragging to me. 

But I wanted to share this blurry picture. It is Grace showing me her favorite gift. It is not the new kindle in one hand. It is the $3 bottle of peppermint lotion. She loves peppermint lotion because her closest friend gave it to her right before we moved. She rationed it out for a year. I love that she values the little things just as much as the big things.

Sleeping Anywhere

This holiday has been hard on our toddler. He loves to sleep, he hates mornings so we have let him sleep in with dad. That means naps are all over the place. 

This child can sleep anywhere. 

He can sleep in lowe's and Hobby Lobby. 

I wish I could sleep like he does.
