Handstands are Dangerous

A couple of weeks ago I took Grace for a pedicure. She loved it and I will probably never get a pedicure alone again. 

Sadly just a couple of days later she was doing handstands in the basement when she fell and cracked a bone in her foot. 

We are so grateful that she is not in a cast. She is healing and finding fun ways to keep her leg elevated.

Raised Bed Gardens

Good morning! I cannot believe if is almost summer. The weather is warming up and and I can see sunshine. 

We have been busy doing some fun improvements around our little farm. We decided to scale back our garden. I know that sounds crazy but for the last two years we were big able to keep up with our big garden. 

This year we are trying our hands at raised bed gardening. It actually was pretty easy considering we have plenty of compost from the goats. 

I am excited to have less to weed this year. We built the boxes and filled them half with compost then topped with top soil. We also did our tomatoes in five gallon buckets.  This year is about keeping it simple. I am telling myself I can buy anything else I need from the farmers market.

Beautiful Eggs

The weather may be playing games and fighting with Mother Nature over spring. But our chickens are not fighting it. They are out digging for worms and giving us beautiful eggs. 

Right now we have a abundance of eggs.  I personally love all the different colors and shapes of the eggs.

Sometimes life is hard and you just have to take a nap. You do not even need a bed.

Honestly, I  am thinking I could nap anywhere today.
