So this year my goal is to really blog. Not just join carnivals. I love doing carnivals because I meet a ton of people but I also feel like it is not the real reason I blog. My goal this year is to really blog. It is to let you know me. It is to use my blog as my journal. If there is something you would like to see on my blog I would love to hear more about it. Maybe someone will tell me that they want to see more recipes with chocolate. I would be glad to do that for you.
The next few months are going to be very busy around here and I am super excited and scarred all at the same time.
Our normal weekly schedule is Tuesday night is Boy Scouts and every other Thursday is American Heritage Girls. But for the next eight weeks we will be doing something called the Prayer Awards (The Religious Recognitions program for American Heritage Girls provides a venue for girls to grow stronger in their faith and service to God. AHG is honored to offer the PRAY (Program of Religious Activities with Youth) Recognition Program and the National Religious Recognitions Program of the Catholic Church.) They are not focusing on the Catholic side. I am doing this with Michael and Faith. I have been told there is lots of homework. I am excited about that and nervous about it.
The next thing that is changing is we have a new Chaplain and he is offering a Wednesday night Bible study, I am really looking forward to it. I love that we will be able to set next to one another and enjoy learning about God’s word. I think we are going to do the book reading the Bible in a year.
The last thing that is changing is that I have been asked (and accepted) to take over responsibility for the noon meal at church. We take turns cooking. I am not for sure how many ladies are signed up to do it. But I will be responsible for making sure everyone knows when it is there turn and fill in when they cannot. Then making sure we have extra things on hand like drinks and paper products and working on holidays. The way it works is you sign up to cook and at some point during the week you meet the chaplain assistant to buy the food. I am excited about this but have to remind myself to not over do it.
We are also getting back to school tomorrow morning. Somehow last semester we back slid and let the kids sleep in. We use to get up and get our chores done before breakfast. Somehow that stopped happening which meant the chores never got completely done and the house went downhill.
I have to be honest and say that it feels like we are finally starting to check in here and make a home. It has taken 10 months which is so much longer than normal. I really feel like God put us here so that we could take a break and focus on our family and becoming a closer family and we have.
If you stuck around to read all of this you deserve a prize. Since I cannot give everyone a prize I will remind you that I am giving away a camera strap cover this week right here.

Love this! Looking forward to reading your posts!
Sounds like you have a lot of cool things going on. Maybe you could blog about how you have made it through many years as a military spouse? I know it helps me to hear from wives who have been doing this longer thanI have :)
Blogging daily is one of my goals for this new year. I need to remember the reason why I started blogging in the first place. It was to keep track of all those special moments with Annaleah when she was younger. I need to continue with that in mind.
