Trying New Things

I love my husband. He will eat just about anything. So when one of his girls asked to try crab he jumped on it. Of course that meant he tried to get everyone to taste it. It went over well and they all liked it. So I guess now we move onto better quality crab. Does anyone want to teach me how to buy and cook crab.

Crab is super easy to cook! When I'm wanting to do a crab night I check out the ads for Jewel grocery store, they have crab sales periodically for $6.99 lb for snow crab legs. which is a huge savings. My family of 6 will easily go through 7 lbs. on crab night. I have a very large crab pot and I fill it not quite half way with about 2/3 water to 1/3 white vinegar and a very healthy dose of Old Bay Seasoning, which is a must in my book!

BTW-the crab delights taste nothing like real crab, it's actually made of white fish and seasoned. Real crab is far superior ;)

Crab legs are already cooked and frozen when you buy them. So simply thaw. Then Arrange in shallow baking pan. Add just enough hot water to fill pan 1/8 inch deep. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees F. until just heated through, approximately 7 to 10 minutes. Very easy
