A day at the zoo

The other day we went to the zoo. Can you tell which child did not want to go. We had a great time. The weather was perfect. I do not think it hit 80 degrees before we left. I did not get very many pictures of the animals because we have so many from previous trips. I love how they have educational stops throughout the zoo. I have to admit that I was impressed with how much my children knew when they were being asked questions.

North Carolina Zoo

Last week my mom visited. I love when my mom visits and this week I wanted it to be special because the last time she was visiting I had a eye infection and was not able to drive us anywhere. So this week we went to the zoo. It was wonderful, the weather was perfect. We took a friends daughter. She is the cutest thing ever. I told her she had to be in the stroller or holding a hand. So when Grace tried to hold her big brothers hand Kerri went crazy. She made Grace let go of him so she could hold his hand. Then when he was holding Grace she had a fit so he put Grace down to hold her. It was too cute. I noticed something else about children, rather they are a human or animal child mama wants them closed. These little monkey's could not get away from momma or she would grab them by the tale and pull them back. Cracked me up. Maybe I should attach a tail to my kids.

Zoo

I did not have my good lense so we did not get very many pictures of the animals. I do not mind because it encourages me to go back. It is only about a hour away. And the drive is all country roads. There was a road called pottery highway and I promise you we counted 75 potty shops and almost as many antique stores. I would like to spend the day just visiting all the little shops. We really took the time to enjoy the zoo, play the games they had for kids and talk about the animals. The cost was amazing with our military discount we got a membership for a year for $49. I could not believe it and now we can use that membership at hundreds of other zoos.





We went to the zoo, we love going to zoo's. I love walking around. I love animals.
