more fun with cousins

One afternoon I told Grace she needed to nap and if she would do it she could do it in poppal I would let her. I knew poppal would not complain. They made me laugh because poppal would fall asleep and then Grace would talk to him and wake him up. Then Grace would fall asleep and poppal would tickle her. I love when they get time to be together. Poppal read Grace a story and then it was outside for more trampoline time. I know some people do not love trampoline time but I have promised myself that the moment this one breaks we are buying a new one.

What to do with old breastmilk

When Grace was born I could not hold her or hug her or love her. The only thing I could do was pray and pump. And so I prayed and pumped. I pumped every 2 hours day and night until I lost it one day in the NICU I lost it. From across the NICU a nurse who had talked to me but not been Grace's nurse came over and said, Are you sleeping? I said yes. My husband said yeah except she gets up every 2 hours and pumps. The nurse than said you have a ton of milk stored here. I am sure you have some at home. Go home and sleep. Get up once a night and pump.So I did. I was so grateful for that nurse. Some how these last 8 bags of milk never got used. And by the time I realized this it was too late for her to drink it. I could not bring myself to throw it out. So the week before we moved we defrosted it and let Grace pour it out.

Letters to my Hero

Oooh Rob I am sure you are grateful you are not here right now. Michael stayed up until after midnight and then was up before 7am. He slept with me. Then by 3 he wanted me to let him to go to bed. So for 3 hours I squirted him with water and had him doing chores. He is sound asleep and I just put the girls to bed. It is only 7pm but they were all cranky so they went to bed early. Grace is screaming about the noise in the house.

We had a great day. We got the water bill that was $80, I have no idea why it is double from last month, I guess I will call Monday.
Everyone woke up in a good mood. Grace insisted that SHE make eggs so I let her and of course forgot to get a picture. Then we went to a church for a yard sale. I ended up spending more than I normally do but
the money is going towards a mission trip. I got a phone number about a home school group and will call on Monday. We stopped on the way home and picked up a bucket of strawberries. I think there are 2 strawberries left out of the whole bucket. We did not pick them because I was wearing sandals. The girls did not complain because there were 2 puppies to play with. I did get a cute bench at the yard sale for $3. I have it on the porch for now but do not know where I will keep it.
We came home and did nothing. Well I put away four loads of laundry including yours. I almost just stacked it on your dresser to wait for you. GUESS WHAT, I have big news!! I touched the kittens several times today. I have not told the kids but I can not wait to go back in there and love on them some more. I have not gotten the guts to pick one up yet.
I won a spa cake, I will send you pictures when it comes in. I won something else but it would embarrassing to tell you on line. I know how much you hate bumper stickers but I thought this one was comical.

Wives of Hope

Wives of Faith MilSpouses Rock
Day ones question, tell about your first military experience. Let's see should I tell you about how I cut my hero's hair before inspection and well let's just say he will never let me do that again. Nope, I think I will tell you how the army messed up our pay and we were staying in the army lodging and I was pragnant. We had just found out we were pragnant. Somehow the hotel employees found out (we told anyone who would listen). Someone from ACS came over everyday and spoke to all the new people staying in the hotel. When they found out we were pragnant they told us about some program that gave new parents either a car seat or a high chair. We chose the car seat. I remember thinking man the army really does take care of you. Which is comical because at the time the only thing we were eating was peanut butter sandwhiches because we had NO money and that is what we could buy using my husbands STAR card. What was it called then?
