Mil Spouse fill in Friday

1. What is the longest road trip you’ve ever taken? I guess going from AL to NC and I even made it take 2 days. I honestly cannot stand being in the car for very long.
2. Do you collect anything? This is a comical question. My husband hates shopping for me because until recently I did not collect anything. In the last couple of years I have started collecting Willow Tree figurines and he is thrilled.
3. What is your favorite part about being an adult?) I am in control, I get to make sure there is food in the pantry, and there are clean clothes in the closet. I do not deal with as much peer pressure and if I do I am big enough to ignore it
4. What song brings a tear to your eye? Hearing the National Anthem, seeing a military ceremony. Any time a child or animal is in pain. Thinking about deployments and the risk they bring
5. Describe your first plane ride (how old you were, where you were heading, etc).
I was about 10 years old. I had a big sister through Big Brothers/Big Sisters and she had moved away. She flew me to her house one summer. It was the highlight of my life. I felt so big.
Fill in the blank Friday
1. The first thing I do in the morning to start my day is... Take my temperature, grab a mountain dew, get dressed, and watch the news
2. Today I wish I was.. Tired, tired and more tired. And then this evening I was dizzy. I was also blessed to be able to talk to three friends that I have not talked to in a while and it was amazing
3. If I had an extra $100 in my bank account today I'd... oh this would thrill me, I would run to the fabric store to buy material to make a new quilt. I really want to quilt but just do not want to spend the money on material right now
4. Tomorrow... I will be lying to my baby girl and telling her it is her birthday. Okay, I will chicken out and tell her it is just the day we are pretending is her birthday. Which means we are having pancakes for breakfast and then going to the zoo and coming home and making pizza.
5. Two things that don't go together are.. Me and a head ache. School and bad attitudes, mountain dew and broccoli
6. Something I can never pass up at the grocery store is.. A good sale. If I find something on sale I will buy 10 or more of it. My husband cracks up when I come home with 10 or 20 boxes of cereal
7. The last time I tried something new was... hmmmmmm, a long time. WAIT, I made a quilt last month for the first time.

5 Question Friday
1. What do you listen to while driving? Crying whining, someone saying STOP SINGING, slug bug, don't hit me. Can I have a drink? Do you have any gum?
No seriously, I listen to praise and worship music and honestly if you drove past our van you would think I was rockin out because my hands (or one at least) are up or I am clapping and really enjoying myself
2. What is your least favorite thing about fall? I cannot think about one negative thing except maybe the time change. I am a morning person but when I get up and it is still dark that is discouraging
3. What does your dream house look like, inside and out? Ooh man, this is so easy for me. First, it must have a wraparound porch and I mean all the way around. I want at least 4 bedrooms, a office/craft room for my husband and I and a bonus room we could use for school/fun. I also want a land for chickens and lots of room for kids to run and play. I also want a mega kitchen fully stocked with at least 2 ovens. I would love hardwood throughout. Now understand I do not need granite counters and fancy furniture. Just space for us to enjoy being together and someone place comfortable enough for others to feel at home.
4. Would you ever own a minivan? Yep, I have for about 8 years now. Actually we owned a plain and simple dodge caravan and LOVED it. Then 2 years ago we updated to a fancy Saturn Relay with all the bells and whistles and honestly I hate it. I mean I love the features but it seems like something is always broke
5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them? HMM, can I read everyone else's answer first? Honestly, sometimes I do. I get so excited. I rarely buy new clothes so it is a big deal. Now if I bought it from a thrift shop or yard sale than I definitely wash first
