Half a pair of shoes

I am so mad! When we were on vacation I found these awesome cute boots. I knew instantly I had to buy these for my friend Melly. Melly loves shoes! I texted her to ask what size she wore. Would you believe that they only had one of those shoes in her size. As in half a pair. I was so disappointed to not be able to buy her new shoes. Pamela

Pregnancy Loss

When we lost our baby on november 5, 1998, someone gave me a card with this poem and it has meant more to me that anything. so i thought i would share it. the scripture on the front is Job 1:21 and inside it says: " I was thinking abut what's ahead for the baby. Can you imagine-it will be taking its first steps on the streets of Heaven! Hannah was a mother who certainly knows how special a little baby is. Perhaps she'll be the one who will let it hold her finger as it takes those first staggering steps; and maybe she will be the one to coax it into taking it first steps alone! Perhaps Dorcas will see to it that its hems get let out, and that the buttons are sewn on that growing child. And Joshua! Just think what it would be like for a child to climb into his lap and hear-first hand- about the battle of jericho!.. Maybe Petrer will take it fishing someday! It will never fall out of tree or breaks it's leg, for there is no pain or tears there! It won;t be afraid of the dark for there is no darkness there. The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, he is the very one who said, "let the little children come to me." I expect there will be many a time when he himself will take that baby in his lap and let it know a love that makes all other loves seem puny by contrast. I wouldn't be surprised if the Heavenly Father keeps a few lollipops handy for just such occasions.... And one day, you will be greeted with a " Hi Dad and Mom! I've got some of the neatest things to show you; and some really fantastic people i can't wait for you to meet." This poem means the world to me. And while others may not remember our Jeremiah, I do and this poem help me heal and grieve. Pamela

Miscellany Monday

This week was my husbands birthday. We went to dinner by ourselves and then had dessert. Just the two of us. They gave my husband cheesecake so of course I had to order myself a piece of chocolate mouse cake. I have been shopping for new clothes. Only really do not want to spend much on clothes, since I want to lose more weight. I did find a black jacket and a black skirt for $2.75 each (oh wait they also gave me 10% off for military). The green shirt is a from a friend. The boots I bought at Payless for $25. The necklace is just one that probably came with a shirt. I love being able to wear different clothes. I love thrift shops. My girls have all started playing guitar. Not officially, just pretending they know Pamela miscellany monday at lowercase letters

5 Question Friday

1. What terrifies you the most? Getting sick and not having help to care for my children. 2. Favorite fall/winter drink? This week it is new, sugar free hot chocolate with pumpkin creamer in it. 3. Do you and your spouse have the same political views? We do, that is one thing we have never argued about. This was a great question. 4. What was the last book you read? Was it any good? I have actually read a couple in the last week. Seemed weird to have time to read. I am in the middle of reading Wild at heart. This is a amazing book. 5. Do you look forward to the snow each winter? Why or why not? If I can be home and have the fire place going and plenty of food then I love the snow. But if I have to leave the house then it scares me. I refuse to drive in it. Pamela
