5 Question Friday

1.What do you appreciate most about your children's Dad? That he is involved, that if he has a hobby he encourages the kids to come along. That he can fix anything and if he can’t he will figure out how he can. 2. Do you always wear your seat belt? Yes, yes and double yes and I am like psycho mom if my kids take there off. 3. Do you dream and do you remember them? Almost every night. Here is part of a dream I had this week: Last night I dreamed that something happened to rob and I was re married (only it was rob who had now turned into a Iraqi man ), my new husband has several children of his own. We moved into this mega huge house that was 3 stories. The whole dream took place in the first month of moving in. It was great at first as I organized everything and decided where everything and everyone would sleep. My husband worked at home as a counselor. So I had to make sure the he had a office and waiting room but that the kids (about12) were quiet. The kitchen was weird it had a blood pressure and oxygen on the wall and a mega dog kennel (could hold 9 dogs in separate kennels). I decided to use those as rooms for the big kids to keep special things in. The house had no yard and I was concerned about the dog. It was right next to a huge park with playgrounds. Then things turned weird and I started seeing signs that my husband was controlling. Nothing I did was good. The only thing I did was once a week took a fitness class. So at the end of the dream I was ready to leave when my hushed walked in ready to go rock climbing and informed me that I would no longer be leaving. The kids were horrible and no one cleaned but me. The last scene of the dream was my daughter in a homeless shelter and a dr visiting her (and some of the other children) and them talking about me being thrown out of a window. 4. What is one thing you swore you'd never let your kids do before having them, that you have now changed your ways about? Hmm, ask them to rub my back. No really mine is the reverse, I swore my kids would not do the things I did. 5. If you could be granted one wish, what would it be? That there would be a cure for mental illness, that the men who have PTSD would not have to have PTSD. That we would be more understanding towards people who have things like Autism and Aspbergers. Being Called to the Principal's Office

Today I was called to the principal’s office not once but twice. First I was at an appointment and the receptionist questioned me on my sunburn. I told her it was 2 weeks old and I had used sun block. She fussed at me for getting sunburn. Then she fussed at me for wearing sun block and how I am putting chemicals in my body. How she never put sun block on her kids she just made them wear hats and shirts. I reminded her that if I am outside 10 minutes I will burn. She went on and on about how our bodies need Vitamin D and even her dog knows to lay in the sun to absorb vitamin D. I will be honest and say I natural Oils and I think they have an amazing sun block. And if I was going to just be out for 20 minutes in the yard I would use it. But I also understand my skin type and how skin cancer affects lives so I will continue to protect my body. Then I went to the OB for my weekly shot. I was first fussed at for not coming in last week when I fell. She was right I should have gone in but I landed on my knee so I was not too concerned. Then I asked what I could do for my stomach bug (I am on day 4). That did not go over so well. She said the rule is after 24 hours you come in. She said there was nothing I could take. Just to have lots of fluids. I agreed to go in this morning if it was not better. I have to call the advice nurse when they open this morning. When is the last time you were called to the principal’s office? Make me feel better that I am not the only one. Pamela

Who wants to sit in the Dunking Boothe

Have you ever been in a dunking booth? I have not but wonder if it is not just a hour of being scared to death. These soldiers were very brave to allow my kids to dunk them. Especially since one of my children may have missed the target and hit the guy who was already in a cast. Pamela

Easy Peasy Brownies

The other day I was at the store and noticed these peanut butter balls were on clearance. I had to buy them but I could not just eat them. That would be wrong. So I decided to make brownies for church, plain boxed brownies only I added those little peanut butter balls. They made a huge difference. I just wish I would have bought more. I also made banana pudding. Only instead of layering it in a truffle pan I mixed everything together in the bowl I made the pudding in and topped it with vanilla wafers. Noone even noticed that it was not beautiful and it did not take long to put together. I will definitely do this more often. Pamela
