At the Beach

Right now I am setting on this couch.

After taking a bath in a tub that was made just for my body. Well maybe not but it felt like it. I layed in the tub listening to praise music for almost a hour.
And after taking a walk on the beach

And then taking another walk on the beach only this time it was sleeting on my head.

While eating things like this.

I can not wait to tell you more about this weekend but for now I am going to finish reading Proverbs and relaxing. A couple of these pictures were taken by another lady who is here. It amazes me how two people can take the same picture and then they look so different.

Mil Spouse fill in Friday

1. What do you usually want to know about someone when meeting them for the first time?
Do we have anything in common? Do they homeschool, is their spouse in the military, do they have kids? What are their hobbies? What are their beliefs?
2. Would you rather know everything about your spouse, or be regularly surprised?
Have I ever told you how OCD I am? I have to know everything all the time. Sometimes he says things and I think, how did I not know that?
3. If you could live in one city for the rest of your life, where would you live?
I do not have any idea. Part of me is jealous of people who live close to their family and in the same house for years. The other part of me loves moving and starting fresh. We lived in Alabama for 5.5 years and I could live there forever because of the ladies I homeschooled with. I lived in Kentucky twice and could live there forever because of my church family.
4. When you go out of town, what one material thing do you ALWAYS take?
Funny you should ask. In 4 hours I will be leaving for the beach with 9 other ladies. Let’s see I am taking a chocolate chip cheese ball, mountain dew, tooth brush. No seriously the most important thing is my camera. I have it on charge now and cannot wait to take pictures of the beach, of us laughing.
5. Using no more than 10 nouns, and ONLY nouns, describe yourself.
Noun: person place or thing. HMMM, this is going to be hard.
Teacher, mother, wife, army spouse, leader, daughter, Fort Bragg, Germany, Alabama, Kentucky.

If you are a military spouse we would love to have you link up at Wife of a Sailor.

5 Question Friday

1. Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love? I met my hero through his best friend. We were going out and when my cousin came to visit my mom said I could not go out unless she had a date. They did not work out, we did not work out and we got together. AS for the falling in love part, honestly I think we are still learning to fall in love and it has been 20 years. I know that sounds weird but I have never had the I LOVE YOU SECOND.

2. What is your favorite room in your house? my kitchen because I can create and have fun and relax and use my mixer and I have table that seats 12. It is the room everyone ends up in. It is where we eat as a group.

3. Can you wiggle your ears? no, can people really do that? You know I am going to be trying this all weekend.

4. What is your evening ritual? Dinner, relax with the kids, kids go to bed at 8pm and then I blog or play on the computer until about 10pm. Bed at 10 and when I fall asleep is always a question. Sometimes I fall asleep right away and lots of time I am looking at the clock at 1am. I wish we had one of those neat bedtime where you read bedtime stories.

5. How many hours of sleep do you need to function? More than I get. I get about 6-8 a night and I make due with it.

Thursday 5

Blessed
Incredible
Productive
Elated
Happy

Today I am blessed that I have a husband who encourages me to take time for myself. Who loves me no matter what I look like when I wake up in the morning.
Today I will find a incredible amount of energy because I have more to do then there is time for.
Today I will productive and make bread and chocolate crinkles, and no bake cookies and pizza casserole.
I am elated that my house is not in terrible shape and it will only take a couple of hours to get it ready for our yearly inspection tomorrow.
I am happy that I have my blog to vent on, to share my ups and downs with, and to meet new people with. To ask questions like how do you spell tattoo in past tense?

For the Joy of it

For of the joy of it I will leave tomorrow morning to go to the beach with 9 wonderful ladies. I will give up my insecurities about will we have enough to talk about. Will I be able to sleep? Will there be food there I like to eat? Will the ladies like me? Don’t I sound like a teenager?
I will go and have fun and not stress over how things are going at home. I will go and not worry about what the house looks like when I get home.
For the joy of it I will enjoy 2 days of Christian fellowship with wonderful ladies.
Good, True & Beautiful
