Homeschool Hop

This blog carnival looks extra fun to me. We have been homeschooling for eight years. WOW, has it been that long.
Since I have a bunch of homeschool moms here, I have to ask. Do you spell homeschool like this
home school or homeschool. When are you starting school and what is your favoite part of getting ready to start a new school year. We are starting one day this week. My favorite part is the boxes of new books that arrive at my house and new crayons. I know I do not need new crayons but they are so much fun.

Mamarazzi Monday

I know it was wrong to keep taking pictures of her since she was not happy. But you have to know Grace. She is crazy shy one minute and crazy friendly the next minute. By the end she was singing and dancing with the best of them.Mamarazzi Monday

Letters to my Hero

Dear Rob,
First of all, IT IS AUGUST!!!! Do you know what that means? YOU COME HOME THIS MONTH!!
I love you babe and cannot wait to have you home. Can you come tomorrow? The laundry is caught up, I slept good last night and there is plenty of food. Plus I do not want to take the girls with me to get the results to Michael’s testing tomorrow.
We are thinking about picking blueberries tomorrow. Part of me wants to rush home in case our school stuff arrives. I am almost giddy about it arriving.
Michael’s friend came over today and they had a good time. I cannot wait to get to know the family better. Maybe we will have a cook out when you get home.
I have a lot more to tell you about but I think I am going to go to bed early again. I was in bed and asleep before 10 last night and it was amazing.
I love you babe and hope that you were able to sleep today.

Military Monday

I am joining up with
and
Military Mondays Family and Spouse Carnival at Army Wives' Lives
. I thought it gave me a good excuse to say hello and tell you what is going on. We are still waiting on my hero to get home. I will not tell you when he is coming home but I will say August is going to be the best month of the year. Okay so that was silly, I guess you know that means he will be home in August.
I am beyond excited to see him. While this has been our shortest deployment it has definitly been the lonliest.
I will be honest and say as much as I look forward to my hero coming home I am very nervous. It is really easy to be a great wife when your hero is away. Then he comes home and there are changes in the house and he has to go right back to work. Please pray for our family that we will get to know each other again. That the children will accept daddy as daddy. That he will be able to fix both lawnmowers (sorry just had to say it).
We are hoping to go away for a couple of days during block leave and leave our children with our parents. We have never left the kids over night with our parents. I am counting the days to be able to set and talk to my husband, to smooch without someone saying "OOH YOUR SMOOCHING". Please pray that nothing will get in our way. That the children will enjoy there visit with grandparents.
If you are new to my blog or have never left a comment before please take the time to leave a comment. That way I will know who you are. If there is somehting you would like to read about on my blog please let me know.

Getting to know me

The Q's..

1. If you were to win an award today, what would it be for? Avoiding cooking the longest, having the most grammatical errors on a blog. no seriously something positive. until 10 minutes ago I would have given myself a award for having all my laundry put away and the house straightened

2. What is your shoe style? slip on sandals or tennis shoes. If you are new to my blog you need to know this. I am a desperate woman who ask one thing of her blog readers (well maybe 2, I ask that you leave me a comment telling me how to improve my blog) and that one thing is that you find someone to buy my size 11 feet some cute shoes because I can not find them and if I do they cost more than my house.

3 Does your car reflect your personality? oh I hope not, it is so dirty that I would be embarrassed for anyone to see it. Like seriously (did I just say Like)when we open the doors things fall out. I guess it is kinda like me. 18 months ago my husband bought us a Saturn relay with all the bells and whistles and now those bells and whistles are breaking. Like me when my hero met me I was thin with all the bells and whistles (tanning, nails, make up, clothes, thin as a rod) and now I am fat, do not even know how to wear make up (but would love for someone to buy it and teach me) and I would not go to a tanning bed to save my life.

4. If you could take over someones body for a day..whose would you choose? that is a hard decision. My friend Kim works out and her body looks good but the other side to that is she is brilliant. She is so smart and knows about anything you can ask about.

5. Love or be loved? this is hard. I love loving other people and to love on them. but to feel loved is the best feeling in the world.

6. If you were on death row, what last meal would you choose? a meal, hmmm I think I would have something else on my mind. but really KFC original chicken, homemade mash potatoes with gravy and my husbands biscuits and chocolate cake with chocolate frosting

7. Have you been on vacation this Summer, if so where? not really, I did go home (WV) for a week and that was nice. We even took the kids to my in laws camper for a few days and it was amazing.

8. What is your favorite food related guilty pleasure? mountain dew, chocolate after the kids are in bed.
