Thursday 5

Honest
Splendid
Perfect
Spectacular
Fancy
I have to be HONEST and say I copied down a list of word from October and not this week’s so I have to re do my post.
I think it is SPLENDID that I have no laundry to put away even if it means I need to wash clothes.
When we took Laugh your way through marriage last semester we had to take a personality test and mine showed that I live in PERFECT world. That was embarrassing.
I am SPECTACULAR at staying in slopping clothes all day with my hair in a pony tail.
I would love to have FANCY fabric to make new quilts.

Happy
Thankful
Joyful
Gleeful
Giddy
I am HAPPY to tell you that Hope did not have a asthma attack all day yesterday.
I am THANKFUL for doctors who helped her quickly and took it seriously.
I am JOYFUL that it is Friday eve which means in 16 hours it will be the weekend.
I am GLEEFUL that my husband will be home this summer and we will be able to spend time together.
I am GIDDY at the fact that I have a stocked pantry (okay garage) and freezer. I love knowing I have everything to keep my family fed.

***want to link up and tell others why you are happy, giddy, thankful, joyful and even gleeful then head over to Flip Flops and combat boots.

For the Joy of it

For the Joy of it I will accept my daughter’s attitude this morning. She has to go to the doctor and she is happy about it because it means we have alone time. So for her I will go with it and make it fun.
For the joy of It I will not be upset that we did not buy tickets soon enough and are now missing the mystery dinner theatre this weekend. Because having a attitude will not make the tickets magically appear.
For the joy of it I will take some deep breathes and pray about my attitude this morning and work on it more throughout the day.
For the joy of it I will do something today that will prepare me for tomorrow to make it easier to enjoy the weekend.

Wordless Wednesday

Gratitude Tuesday

Last week we had a truck of cattle crash behind our house and while it makes me sad so many beautiful bulls died I am grateful that no humans were injured and none of the bulls that lived got lose and ran through my fence.
I am grateful that it looks like my husband will be home this summer. I love him being home and cannot wait to spend many Saturdays with him.
Spring is right around the corner, I know it is hiding but I can feel it. When I look out the kitchen window and see my hero’s boat I know that very soon my hero will take my children away for many a Saturday mornings. That means I wake up to a quiet house and my children get to enjoy their daddy. Plus they get to do all that yucky bodily function talk that mommy does not allow.
We are taking a parenting class in small group that at first I thought was silly but we are really learning a lot and honestly I enjoy setting next to my hubby for an hour. Just quiet uninterrupted adult talk.
Pam
***I encourage you to head over to Heavenly Homemakers and link up what you are grateful for.

cupcakes

Once a month we make cupcakes for the Airmen. This month I wanted to make the hot cocoa cupcakes I see all over blog world. I quickly realized that I did not know how to make the marshmallows stick to the icing. So my amazing husband thought the heat gun would work and it did. This heat has a funny story. I use to make cards and loved it. I loved embossing cards. That was until my heat gun broke. My hero decided to replace it with one that had "more power". This thing could strip wallpaper. Actually, it was probably made to strip wallpaper. I did not get a picture of the final product for some reason.
When I ran out of marshmallows I decided to decorate the rest of them with the leftover oreo's from my oreo fudge.
