How do you sound proof a room

In all seriousness I am a conservative person and would not normally tell this to strangers. But one it is funny, two I would love your suggestions. This is what happened this morning.
My 13 year old son walked into the livingroom this morning and said
michael-Mom I woke up last night (He has sleep issues and struggles with waking up and doing things he should not, and he is really trying to be accountable so i thought i was going to hear him apologize)
me-ok michael what did you do?
michael-I heard it?
me-You heard what?
michael-It, you and dad doing it! (he had the sweatest softest voice)
dad- no you heard me getting turned down
me- why did you not knock on the door
DS-because i knew you needed your private time
me-well michael this should be a reminder that your mom and dad still love each other
me- michael you need to go take your shower
Rob-so do I get a repeat tonight
me- are you kidding we are never ever, never ever. this is the second time something like this has happened
This is where we get to talk about all the benefits to being married to each other. That is when my face is not so red

Hahaha. Oh my goodness. I can't believe your son had the guts to tell you! You all must have a fantastic family relationship.
I love how your husband admitted right away that he was getting turned down...hilarious.
My husband likes to have "talks" with our son about this very issue- although my son is 5 months old and is usually the one who isn't too cooperative anytime we try to do anything like that....(TMI? sorry;).

That is a LOT of cereal, lol. That being said, I'm pretty sure my boys could wipe it out in a matter of days.:)

Oh Pam! I don't think I could have talked to him about that. :) Yes, I say sound proof.... turn the radio/tv up ... and maybe give the kids some benadryl. LOL!

Maybe you will have a bigger house in Ft Bragg and you can put Michael at the opposite end of the house.

OMGOODNESS!! We share a wall with my daughter's room - even though technically her room is on the other side of the house. Now, I'm scared!! Wow!! Your son made me smile with how sweet he was, btw.

Hahahaha! Well, I could hear my parents alot growning up and I grew up in a conservative family. Most of my friends experienced the same thing and they also grew up in similar households. We all turned out fine - I wouldn't worry about it. Sex is a reality of life - not a secret :-P
