Doggy Couch

Good morning from Gracie and Howie! They want you to know that they are too good for dog beds and would prefer to sleep on the couch. 

No worries they will move and let us sit on the couch if we beg and plead.

God is Good

God is so good. Last night as we were leaving the basketball game Jason came in and said the bus was on fire. I assumed it was steam. No the bus was on fire. 

I don't know what happened exactly and don't care. But what is amazing is no one was on the bus. 

I am so grateful that no one was hurt. So grateful that this happened in the parking lot and not on the way home. I am sad that they do not have a working bus but grateful that they are all safe and sound.

This boy keeps me hopping. Some days he frustrates me but it never last for more than half a second because then he flashes that smile.

I will give him anything when he shows me that smile.

Teaching a Old Dog New Tricks

This morning we decided to stay home from church since the roads are bad. Normally my husband would drive but he just got home from a 24 hour shift. I still do not understand working 24 hours without sleep. Since we are home Jacob decided to teach the dog to use a laptop. I am hoping next week he will teach him to order pizza.

Big Shoes to Fill

A day in the life of Jacob. First he does school on the heater. Don't worry it is very safe and honestly we only have it in here because someone's toes get cold.

Then he has to try and fill big brothers shoes. Sometimes this picture brings me to tears. To think of how old his big brother is and how fast he is growing up. 

Please tell me someone else has a pile of clean laundry waiting to be put away. Because honestly most days of the week I have laundry waiting to be folded and put away.

Coats for Goats

Hope takes care of the goats and milks them. She said that she often takes her coat off to lay on the goat. She said the goat won't walk in the snow unless she is covered. I guess I need to get a coat for the goat so my baby girl stays warm too. 

Just so you know our goats are not spoiled at all.

This boy is ROTTEN, rotten is a understatement. This is Jacob  telling the light switch NO. I had already fussed at him several times for turning the light off and on. I guess it was the lights fault.

Teaching

Big brother is teaching little brother how to mop floors. I keep reminding him that as soon as he teaches the younger kids then they can start doing it.

Before and After

When we moved into our house my husband was beyond thrilled to give me a space of my own.  Was thrilled to have a space to use. Then life happened and I took the tables out of my room to use at the farmers market. The kids decided that this would be a great place to hide things. 

 So today I took back my space. It will still take some organizing as I begin using things but for now I have a usable space again and that thrills me. 

 I am hoping that now that it is organized I can start working on some quilts that I already have the material for. 

The first thing we plan to do is to put a lock on the door so that little ones cannot sneak in and play.

Lean in 2015, that is his goal. I think I will support him by offering plenty of ice cream and yogurt.

Jacob had a rough day. He had to nap in a chair. 

I do not think he slept very well. On a side note, those little toes are calling me to touch them.

Homemade Pizza

Yummy yummy and a little more yummy. That is what I would call this New Year's Eve dinner. My husband makes the best pizza ever. 

Not only did he make me pizza for dinner. Okay pizza for me and about 20 friends but he also made me pizza for breakfast. The local gas station sells breakfast pizza and every since I saw it I just knew we had to try it. Now I am sure we have a new favorite meal. 

We use to make homemade pizzas on Fridays but have gotten out of the habit. I am now back on the pizza making plan.
