wordless wednesday

Okay so I can never be quiet, if you know me I am sure you are agreeing. So I have to explain. The picture of me is me eating a frog leg. Honest it was not bad. The one of Hope was at the doctor and I thought it was funny, then there is one of her in daddy's hat. It still cracks me up that the girls get excited about seeing soldiers. The one of Faith is the first time we tried to do her hair. It will definitly take some getting use to.

Grace and Hope's build a bear party

With so many birthdays in a short time we decided to combine parties. The girls had a blast. Faith and Hope had never been to build a bear before. Grace decided to just pick out a outfit, Faith picked out a leopard and Hope picked out a dog, but only because I did not show her the horse. Believe it or not I only arrived at the party 15 minutes early. At 9:55 Grace needed a change (AHHHHH, I could have and did scream). So I rushed her back to the van in hopes of being done before her guest arrived. Then I realized I did not have wipes. So I ripped open a pull up and poured water in it and used it as a baby wipe. not great but it worked. Then we went to the store. They did not open until right at 10am. So we were okay. The girls had a great time and the store is amazing. They know what to do and how to do it. They do not encourage you to spend more than you signed up for. They even gave us extra hair bows. Later that night I realized Hope had walked around picking up hairbows off the floor that would have been put in the trash. So we have PLENTY of hairbows. After the party we went to the food court to have cake. The cake was about my hundredth (just teasing) cake of the week. I need to admitt they got tired, sore, lazy hand. So they had a round cake with a purple layer and a pink layer. Since Hope loves bugs I used the leftover grahm crackers from the pumpkin patch cake on top. frosted the whole thing green and added bug candies. Hope loved it. I am happy to say there is currently no cakes in my house. The girls are enjoying there bears. Because someone gave Hope a outfit we now have 3 bears and 3 outfits. It was so cute because Grace chose a fisherman outfit for her bear. All those cute outfits and she chose fishing. Her daddy was thrilled.

Thursday was Hope and her art teachers birthday. So I decided to make them a cake for co-op. Then Rob got involved. So what ended up happening was I iced a sheet cake with homemade chocolate icing and then we took ground up chocolate grahm crackers and sprinkled on top to look like dirt. Then we took two bundt cakes and iced them with homemade orange frosting to look like a pumpkin. I made rice krispy treats for the stem and iced them with green icing. We then layed candy corn pumpkins all over the top.
Everyone enjoyed it.

MUDD

After watching the little couple on TV Rob asked me to make MUDD. So I took chocolate grahm crackers (left overs from the pumpkin cake) and layered into the bowl with pudding (mixed with cool whip) then more grahm crackers and more pudding, after each layer I added a few gummy worms. They all loved it.

Not Me Monday

This has been a CRAZY week, a wonderful week but a crazy week.
Okay let me start with the most recent, I did not, most certainly did NOT and never would forget baby wipes and then tear a pull up apart and pour a bottle of water on it and use it as a baby wipe. No I would never do this because for one I would be prepared and have baby wipes and two because that is just wasteful.
I most certainly did not make my husband ice his own birthday cake after he told me how to do it better. this would never happen because for one i respect his opinion and two because well that is just rude. I also did not use some of my free pampered chef money to order get his birthday gift.
This week is klassy kids and I did not go shopping on Thursday night (yes Hope's birthday). I then did not stay and help then for 2 more hours just because in comparison to my house it was quiet. I love my family and would not want to miss time with them.
I also did not almost run a red light this week at a spot I have seen several accidents because my son was telling me something about a science question and I was thinking too hard on the question. I am always aware of everything when I am driving.
Since my husband has been deployes to Afghanistan before I most certainly did not have to be told that men there do have blonde and red hair. Not just black hair. Of course I would know this.
My daughter did not tell everyone that she does not know how old she is and then proceed to count to ten out of order.
Since my family does not celebrate Halloween (my conviction not my families but they try to support me). I most certainly did not compromise on this and let Faith hand out candy at the beauty salon this evening because it meant the stylist was working on me and not handing out candy. I also did not compromise my standards by saying my kids could go to fall festival at my church.
Last but not least my husband did not say "I was washing the hair bow too" after I questioned how he washed Grace's hair with the hair bow still in it.
