Wordless Wednesday

Michael is not on regular meds anymore.Which is such a blessing. This week he is at scout camp. Which means lots of bugs and scratching. So I sent him with allergy meds. One of the scout moms ordered these holders. They are the best. So he has zyrtec at night, benedryl in the morning and vitamins.

Respite Care

My hero went back to work this morning. It was so weird not waking up to him being here. I have enjoyed our two weeks off. Today I just plan on working on mount laundry and maybe doing some baking.
Tomorrow I have to go in for a TB test. I have decided to start doing respite care for a friend. I already babysit for her for free and will continue to do that. But this way I will get paid for part of the time. Really it helps her to because she does not have feel guilt for asking me to babysit. Her kids are adorable. Have you heard of respite care? We received respite care when Grace was younger because she was on EFMP and had issues. If you have a child on EFMP I encourage you to check into respite care.

GratiTuesday

I have so much to be grateful. I have not had time to write it out recently.
I am grateful for a husband who let me sleep in this morning and made the family breakfast.
I am grateful for the two new blessings that are with us. They are so precious and so wonderful and fit right in and are just fun to be around. They make me laugh and cry almost daily.
I am grateful for all the volunteers who are at boyscout camp this week working with my son. I cannot imagine how hot it must be.
I am grateful for our new vehicle that my whole family can fit in. taking two cars is for the birds.
I am grateful that my big sister from big sisters/big brothers has contacted me. I have written about her several times on my blog. So to actually be able to talk to her again is amazing. There are people in your life that made you want more. Who made you expect more, who made you love more and she is one of those people.
I am grateful for a full pantry. I love finding bargains, I love knowing that if I am sick and cannot make it to the store my children have everything they need to survive.

I am grateful that my husband is not going away in September for a month. While he has gone away several times before this time did not seem right. I really feel like we need him at home to get settled.
I am grateful for this little old blog that lets me keep a journal of my life. Especially, since I have not scrapbooked in a couple of years. One day I will get back to it.

Orange Ice cream

I had some oranges that were starting to go bad. I asked my hero to make orange juice and he suggested orange ice cream. Such a easy idea that we will be doing more often.
1 gallon vanilla ice cream
20 oranges
Combine in food processor and drink.
And if you have any extra oranges then feed them to whoever is walking around.

Military Monday

Good morning, man my computer is messing with my brain today. My hero went back to work this morning. It wa great having him home. I cannot believe I wrote a whole post for this morning and now it will not let me cut and copy it.
So today I will ask you this. Have you ever done respit care? Have you ever recieved respit care? I am in the middle of paperwork for doing respit care for a friend.
