For the Joy of it

Today’s for the Joy of it is easy. Last weekend I decided it was time to get acrylic nails again. It just makes me feel good to look at them and I love the feel of them. I have had them several times before.
This week for the joy of it, I got my nails done

And while I was at it I got a pedicure. If you have read this blog long enough you know I do not enjoy getting pedicures but this guy was great.

Then I bought one more thing, this time it was for my amazing husband who does everything for me. No worries it is not staying in our kitchen. It was raining outside so he put it together inside.

This week for the joy of it, I am going to take time to spend with friends. I am going to take time to explain how I feel to my children.
For the joy of it I am going to bake something new and fun. I am going to sleep in (if my body will let me). I am going to let the laundry pile up and the dishes go unwashed so I can spend time with my blessings.
For the joy of it I am going to crank my music as loud as it will go in my van and Praise the man who brings me more joy than anyone else.

For the Joy of it

For the joy of it I am getting my nails done this weekend. I have had acrylic nails many times. I get them for 6 months and then no longer want them. I have decided I want them again. There is something about clean filed nails that relaxes me.
For the joy of it I am going on a date with my husband on Saturday morning. I know it is only to get new tires for his truck but it is time alone.
For the joy of it I am going to teach 8 year olds to decorate a cake tonight with a crazy amount of icing.

For the Joy of it

For the Joy of it
1. For the joy of it I will not stress this morning and will concentrate on school instead of cleaning. Although I know friends are coming this afternoon for a visit.
2. For the joy of it I will drink my mountain dew without guilt or worry of calories.
3. For the joy of it I will take time out of my weekend to work on my blog because I know it brings me joy.
4. For the joy of it I will try to make sure the house is straight so I can enjoy my husbands four day weekend.
5. For the joy of it I will work ahead in my study of James so that I will have time to go back and really let it soak in.
6. Yesterday I took the time to just set and rub my teenagers head because I know that he will not always want to lay on the couch and let me rub his head and I will miss this joy.

For the Joy of it

For the joy of it,
1. I will not be upset that my girl’s shoes no longer fit because it means that they are growing.
2. I will not be stressed that my house is not in perfect shape when a friend visits this weekend but will take time to enjoy the friend.
3. I will be joyful that my husband has to answer his phone for work when he is home because it means he is home with us and has a job.
4. For the joy of it we are taking a summer break because my hero will be home this summer.
5. For the joy of it I will not care about the mess the girls will make or the amount of icing that is wasted while I teach cake decorating to a group of 8 year olds because it means they are having fun.

For the Joy of it

For the Joy of it I will accept my daughter’s attitude this morning. She has to go to the doctor and she is happy about it because it means we have alone time. So for her I will go with it and make it fun.
For the joy of It I will not be upset that we did not buy tickets soon enough and are now missing the mystery dinner theatre this weekend. Because having a attitude will not make the tickets magically appear.
For the joy of it I will take some deep breathes and pray about my attitude this morning and work on it more throughout the day.
For the joy of it I will do something today that will prepare me for tomorrow to make it easier to enjoy the weekend.

For the Joy of it

For the Joy of it, I will take a moment to relax; I will enjoy my babies being babies. I will eat a krispy kreme donut from a gas station just because I know it will taste good.
I will spend a few extra seconds thanking God for allowing me to see the pride in my daughter’s eyes as she learns to read.
For the joy of it I will hug my husband for no reason, I will tell my teenager he is loved even if he back talks. I will remind my girls of how beautiful they are.
I will stay up late for no reason. I will sleep in without guilt. I will drink an extra glass of mountain dew because I like the taste.
And I will turn my praise and worship music up load in my car and not worry about who is driving by and might here.
For the Joy of it I will remind you that you still have time to enter my Purex Crystals give away right here.

For the Joy of it

For of the joy of it I will leave tomorrow morning to go to the beach with 9 wonderful ladies. I will give up my insecurities about will we have enough to talk about. Will I be able to sleep? Will there be food there I like to eat? Will the ladies like me? Don’t I sound like a teenager?
I will go and have fun and not stress over how things are going at home. I will go and not worry about what the house looks like when I get home.
For the joy of it I will enjoy 2 days of Christian fellowship with wonderful ladies.

For the Joy of it

Last weekend we went to a place called Whirlygig farm The man who owns the facility retired 25 years ago and has been making sculptures since then. He was a really nice man. You could walk into his work area and there were things to buy. I do not know why but this picture caught my eye but was not in my budget.

For the Joy of it

My water broke at 26 weeks; I laid in a hospital bed for 5 weeks praying she would stay in. She was born at 31 weeks weighing 2.12 pounds and 14 inches long. She became Neutropenic in the hospital and we were scared. She thrived in the NICU and came home. We struggled to get her to eat, struggled to get her to gain weight. At 3 years old she got sick and was put in the hospital for 15 days with a asthma attack, pneumonia, gastric bleed and 5 ulcers, after 3 years she was put on oxygen for the first time.
BUT, she was healed, she was prayed for. She is thriving, she is growing, and she has no real signs of being a preemie. She is the love of my life, my cuddle bug and spoiled rotten. She is the baby of the family and everyone knows it.

For the Joy of it

Good, True & Beautiful

This week I have taken a nap almost daily for the joy of it, I have not cooked in almost a week for the joy of it, I have taken long showers and not loaded the dishwasher or washing machine just for the joy of it and how you may ask.
Because my wonderful amazing, hero took our children camping for a entire week.

For the Joy of it

Good, True & Beautiful We decided to try our hand at the Topsy Turvy thing. What were we thinking. We spend $12 on the topsy turvy, another $10 on soil, then another $30 on strawberry plants. It has been fun watching them grow. I like the theory of it. I love watching things grow.
