The hotel has a indoor heated pool. I think it needs to be a little warmer for me but for the kids it is okay. We did have to run to Target and get Hope and myself a new bathing suit. Some how Faith and Grace had theres in the suitcase and Michael and Rob wore PT shorts. I will not tell you how it makes me feel that my son can wear my husbands shorts. We only take them for about 30-45 minutes a day before we are too cold but it is enough of a break for them that they are calmer

The end of our hotel stay
Today was the last morning I had to wake up in a hotel bed and boy did my family get a morning wake up call. I woke up around 6am and tried to be quiet so everyone could continue sleeping. At 7:05am the fire alarm went off right outside our door. I was not nervous because I knew the toaster in the lobby had set it off the other day. And since our room was right across the hall from a outside stairwell I knew we were ok. So Rob called downstairs and they confirmed it was just the toaster. I could not believe that Michael had slept through it all. We got up and got the room ready, had breakfast and loaded the vehicles. We unloaded the stuff out of the vehicles and got on the road. The first stop was Sam’s. $350 later we walked out with lots but not everything we needed. So we headed to the commissary and another $350 we were done. We stopped at dollar general to pick up a couple more things and then headed home. Rob told me all morning that there was not much room in our freezer but I would not listen. I have to say he was so write. I did manage to get it all in the fridge and it can go in the deep freezer tomorrow evening. We got the shower curtains hung and the extra stuff put away. The kids played in the backyard all afternoon. Rob has a fire going the whole time we have been home. He says he is getting up Saturday morning to go find somewhere to cut wood. And since we are trying to keep our electric bill down I am okay with keeping a fire going. If he starts it in the morning I can keep it going during the day and if we keep it going then the living room and dining room will be warm during the day so we can keep the house about 65 and be good. We have had a interesting time in our new house:
The alarm would not stop going off for almost a hour
There is a leak under the kitchen sink
I caught my kids trying to climb the fence to pet the neighbor’s dog,
Hopes closet shelf already broke.
We do not know what time the movers will be here tomorrow. Our only plans are to unpack and at some point Rob needs to run our list of things we found wrong with the house to the realtors . I cannot wait to see how our furniture fits and where to put everything and to make bread and goodies again. I did make cookies tonight on a throw away tray which made it feel a little bit more like home

How did we break the hotel bed
Yesterday I blogged about my day and at the bottom I asked if anyone read the whole post. Then I asked how do you think we broke the hotel bed. Krystlepop said too many monkeys jumping on the bed. Iraquila said too many people jumping on the bed. I personally think wish I could tell you it was something fun like racing beds. The reality is we have a 14 year old cat. And she disappeared for over a day. I kept telling Rob she was under the bed and he kept saying she could not be. So he searched and searched and I kept nagging him that she was under the bed. I think he got tired of hearing me say she was under the bed. So finally he took the mattress off and then the box spring off. Can you believe what he found. YOUR RIGHT, our cat. Apparently there was a hole in the box under the bed. So he put the bed back together but my side felt like it was leaning. When he took the bed apart again he noticed that he had not put the metal bars together right. I hate to say I told you so but I had to say I told you so. I love my husband. We did find a boys bathing suit. The kids want to take apart the other bed. I said no way.

hotel living update
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a morning person. I do not know if it is the time change or the dark room but my family has been sleeping later and later. It is almost 9am and everyone but me is still sleeping. I want to wake them but this does make the day shorter. And since we have no real plans today the day needs to be shorter. I am so tempted to buy room darkening shades for the bedroom. I am a morning person, have I said that and I could get allot done if I had quiet time from the time they wake up until 9am every morning. So the question of the day is do I wake them because I am bored and hungry or do I let them sleep because they are quiet. I think when we move into the house and get organized it will get back to normal but for now no one is going to sleep until well after 10pm which means sleeping in late. Poor Grace slept in the walmart cart yesterday and Rob left me walking around bed bath and beyond the day before so she could finish her nap in there cart. This is my baby girl who is use to a 3-4 hour daily nap. Our only plans today are to check out post. There is another PX and commissary we have not been to that we want to look at. We will let the kids go swimming today and other than that we are just relaxing. I want to see what all I can pack up for Rob to take to the new house when he goes tomorrow. Can I tell you we have not even moved in and he has a honey to do list. He is going to wait on the phone people and then Faiths bed to be delivered. So while he waits he is going to install a shower curtain, make a list of every ding he can find in the house, run the heat and fireplace and dishwasher to make sure they are in working order. Turn on the fridge and freezer. check the fence for holes so we know the dog can go out and change all the light bulbs out to the energy savers. He says he can do that waiting on the phone people and then play on his computer until the mattresses get there. Just to see if you actually are reading my post I have a question. Does anyone want to guess how we broke a hotel bed last night?
the day in a life of someone living in a hotel
I just snuck to the hotel lobby to buy chips from the vending machine. When I walked back in the room Grace said are you going to share. I said NO, you guys ate all the snacks and had dinner and this is my dinner. But I am hungry she replied. I said Grace you are eating a loll I pop and there is a half eaten apple on the counter from you. But mom that is food not a snack. So I told her to go finish her food. A few seconds later I noticed she had thrown her lollipop in the trash. She asked again and I said no. I just saw her eating her lollipop standing on the cat litter bucket at the bathroom sink. She is drinking and spitting, drinking and spitting. Do I stop her or say the trash can had a clean bag in it and well we are in a hotel and she is bored. And if she is in the bathroom she is not harassing me for my snack. Today was another busy day. We woke up and had breakfast. The kids had hotel food and Rob snuck across the street and picked us up biscuits and gravy. Really they did not mind. I put away laundry and straightened the room in hopes of allowing housekeeping to come in. they will not make beds or clean counters if there is any personal things on them. They came by at 9am and we were not ready so we switched out dirty towels for clean ones and said see you tomorrow for the third day in a row. About ten we left. As we were waiting for everyone to get buckled Rob said where are we going and I said I do not know it was your idea to leave the room. I said no way I was happy relaxing. By that time everyone is buckled and we are NoT going back in. So we decide since the water company is not answering there phone we will drive to them. So we drive 30 minutes to the water company then 30 minutes in another direction to a mattress store and purchase Faith’s mattress and box spring then to the fabric store so I can make her curtains. Then back to the mattress store because Grace left her coat there. Then to CVS to get sale items. Then to a hot dog place. It was kind of nice. Food was okay and was less than $20 for a family of 6. Then we went in a different location to game stop, Cato’s (I found a new long skirt) then to Wal-Mart and then to the dollar tree. Then headed back to the hotel. I got faith’s curtains pinned on both side and went to sew them and realized my sewing machine cord is missing. I am really hoping we find it in the back of the van tomorrow. For now I am relaxing and enjoying our last couple of days in a hotel

hotel living part 2
we did not pack warm clothes to play in the snow that you can see on our balcony. We also forgot to pack toys for the kids to play with so they have been making there own. Hope was mad Michael would not let her play with the lego car he got yesturday so she made one out of batteries and toilet paper. Then she moved onto jewelry. She made Grace a necklace and a ring and they were make up that Faith snuck and brought.
Hotel living part 1

I have to say I do not mind hotel living. Especially in this hotel with 2.5 rooms. We have a room with beds and then a room with a fold out couch and TV and table. connecting the two rooms is a hallway with a stove, fridge, sink and microwave. it gives us plenty of space to move around. The staff is amazing. the first day we moved in the bathroom had issues. it actually continued to have so many issues that 24 hours later they asked us to change rooms. At first I was a little annoyed and then I realized that right outside my door was this
Then the elevator is right outside of our door and if you go up a floor the laundry is right next to the elevator or go down one floor and the pool is right next to the elevator. so we are not walking across the hotel to get to the pool or the lobby. I told faith this morning, guess what in one week you will be doing laundry again. we have really enjoyed the time together. except when Grace got stuck in the cat cage. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH, did I tell you that right outside our door is the vending machine in case I run out of Diet Pepsi
