Chocolate Body Scrub

I saw this recipe on Chasing Cheerios (is that not the coolest blog name) and thought WOW that looks easy. So since today was the last day without the boys I decided to make a double batch. I have a couple of people I want to give it to. My girls of course had to taste it.
This is super easy, mix all ingredients together slowly, smelling the chocolate. Then use. So easy. Now if I only had a use tub to use it would be perfect.
2 cups brown sugar
6 TBSP Olive oil
4 TBSP Cocoa powder
2 TBSP vanilla

I have a boo boo

I got a minute to watch The Doctors this week. I learn so much from that show but it is in the middle of our school day. Anyways, they said a easy way to make a ice pack is to fill a ziploc with dish soap. It does not get super hard but stays chilled. I could not wait to try it.
Grace was a good sport, she even stuck her bottom lip out without me asking. I am curious what happens if I let it defrost all the way.

What do you do for ice packs? How do you cure a boo boo in your house?

What was your favorite subject in school

I did, I loved home Economics in middle school and high school. In middle school we learned to make Aprons but I could not thread a needle. I loved learning to cook and clean and balance a check book and organize a grocery list and go grocery shopping. There was a grocery store across the street from our school so we actually went shopping.
I also loved business math class I took in high school. It made sense to me. I also remember taking a poetry class (I
can’t remember what it was really but something English related). I loved it because everyone in the class was a grade ahead of me. I do not know how I got in the class but I remember there was a very nice girl named Faith and she always did well and was very polite. I decided then I wanted a daughter named Faith.
Normally math is my least favorite subject. I remember in ninth grade I just could not catch on. No matter how many times it was explained I could not get it. So one night my boyfriend who was amazing in everything he did decided to show me how to do it. So he taught me how. I was so excited to turn in my work. I knew I would get an amazing grade. Boy was I surprised when I FLUNKED. I flunked because while she had been his teacher a few years earlier he taught me a different way and my work did not do the same steps and so I flunked. To this day I remember how patiently he worked with me. I think that is why I fell in love with him and evidentially married him.

Fill in the blank Friday

1. The best prank I ever pulled was I watched a friend’s kids last summer while she and her hubby were in Hawaii. She brought me home a fertility statue. In case you were worried I did not believe. So 2 weeks after my husband came home I took a pregnancy test which of course came out negative. So I took a pink pen and drew in a second line. Then put it in front of the now positive test and took a picture and sent to her. No problem and she totally fell for it. The only problem was she did not tell me I was on blue tooth in her car which meant her daughter heard our conversation. I can lie to a adult but felt terrible for lying to a child.
2. The best prank ever pulled on me was I can not remember being pranked. But, I remember thinking I was being pranked. My husband came home from Iraq and we went to Disney. Then we decided to remodel our kitchen. We replaced counter tops and dishwasher and stove. I know would have my double oven, painted cabinets and faucets. When my hero thought we were completely done I decided I wanted to do one more thing. He sent me to Lowe’s for a new tool. While I was there he called me and said We are moving, I just checked my e-mail. I thought he was joking and refused to believe him until I got home and checked his e-mail. .

3. A day without a hug from one of my children is a day wasted.

4. The most important things in life are the things that can not be replaced, a hug, a smile, a kind gesture. A meal with my husband without little people around. I talk with a long lost friend .

5. I dream of a vacation with my husband. Someplace where I can shop, he can fish but yet far away from the world. I dream of living far out in the country with no neighbors and having lots of chickens and horses and someone else to take care of them.

6. I dread going to the dentist. You knew I would say that, didn’t you. I hate it, it scares me and causes huge anxiety.
7. A discovery I made this week was that Scentsy has a ton more fragrances than I knew about and I am so in trouble if I have a show.
