new house- hallway and Faiths room

We told Faith we would do everything we could to give Faith her own bedroom. So when we found this house we decided she could have the bonus room. But wait, what would we do for a office. So we decided she could share the space. When you first walk up the stairs you see the office (notice there are no pictures of the office or garage yet). we took 2 bookshelves and my stamping cabinet and turned them to make a wall for her. The room is not as cute as I would have liked but she loves it. If Rob needs to be in the office it will not bother her. I am hoping to get her some rugs and bigger wall decorations for her birthday in June. I made her curtains and pillows in the hotel. Rob and Faith made her head board. She loved being able to paint it herself. Can you guess what her favorite thing in the room is. Your right, it is her mirror.

new house- livingroom

We have since added curtains and a lamp. I need something to put on each side of the tv but do not have any clue. We also need a picture for above the TV. Rob says we should just get a flat screen and it would take care of both issues. I am not agreeing. I will say we are really enjoying the fireplace. Rob has taken Faith and Michael to chop would. Our goal is to use the fireplace during the day to heat the house as much as possible to cut down on the electric bill. The fan works great at pushing the warm air out.


The box on the bookshelf is beyond special to me. It has the only pictures we have of our baby Jeremiah. They are not beautiful to everyone but I like knowing they are close when I need to see him

new house-kitchen edition

It is so nice to have a regular size kitchen. I have just enough storage space. I am storing the small appliances in the garage, the ones I use often are right by the door and then there is a cabinet full of them that I have not taken a picture of yet. ooh yeah and the dehydrater is in the laundryroom because I have forgotten to take it to the garage. We also store most of our food in the garage. On the kitchen counter I store wheat flour, bread flour, sugar and splenda. I know it is alot. I also always have several weeks worth of food on hand. I love the rug by the sink (there is a matching one by the stove). They were $40 a piece at Lowe's and I got them for $10 a piece.I know the baking cabinet is a mess. So this afternoon I moved all the spices to a drawer, so now I do not have to dig through the cabinet to find the spice I need.
