moving day 1

At 8:30am the mover arrived. That is right I said mover not movers. The boss said that the other movers would be here at noon. He left the boxers and the one mover and left. At noon no one showed up, at 1pm no one, at 2pm no one so I called and they said 2 more guys were on their way. At 3:15pm one other guy showed up and by 4:57 the kids bedrooms and the office, part of my my room and part of the kitchen was done. Honest the young man they left here this morning did all the work except the kitchen. They said they would be back tomorrow morning with 4 packers.
This evening I went to dinner with 2 friends, I wish we would have taken a picture. It was so much fun to be able to set and relax and talk. The food was AMAZING. I brought home leftovers for Rob for lunch tomorrow. The girls spent the afternoon with a friend which was great for us. they are doing better than I thought they would with the move. I cannot believe how well they handled seeing their stuff packed up.

Give away

i love scented candles but with 4 children it is hard to have candles lit. I just found a really neat give away that is giving away scentsy. So neat I had seen them before but after looking now would love them even more. Please check out this blog. what fragrance would you enjoy. Rob loves vanilla and I love the berries

moving

Today is the day, in the next few hours there will be a knock at the door and a swarm of people will walk into my house and take over. Can I just say I hate knowing that people are going through my drawers and closets but I am glad I am not the one packing it all up. Yesterday we took the animals to the vet and got there shots. I was worried they would not give them shots because it was too early but I did not want to have to do it as soon as we move. Rob then took Blue to the pound. He is not coping well with it and I feel really bad. We tried several things. We put a add on petfinder but the only reply we got was from someone who lived in the U.K.. seemed a little sketchy to me.
The house is as ready as it can be. I will do one final walk through when the kids wake up. I have a friend who is going to keep the girls for several hours today and another friend is keeping them tomorrow. That will really help during the packing. I am sure the packers will be happy to not have so many helping hands.
Prayer request: that we would find peace about taking our dog to the pound after 10 years. That we would be able to find a home quickly, that we would be able to clear housing on Monday with no drama

This is what happens when you put poop in potty

You get a trip to Chuckie Cheese with just daddy. She was so excited. I will post more pictures later. If you are potty training, there is a cute song on my playlist called poop in the potty.

Not me Monday moving edition

I think I will say this is not me Monday moving edition. First of all, this is my last not me Monday in Alabama. I will not allow it to be I refuse. I am not setting in my chair right now instead of cleaning my house since I know in 6 hours I will have housing and the movers doing a walkthrough of my house. I am always prepared and have everything cleaned and ready. Speaking of not me moving Monday, I did not decide to throw away my girls kitchen toys because they were dirty and covered in glue. I would never be so wasteful and I most certainly will not admit that I know these toys needed cleaned a month ago.
The other day my 4 year old did not say the B word. We were watching a movie about dogs and it said something like how many bitches do you have (I cannot remember where it was produced at). She said oh we have one bitch. I could not believe she knew the word. I am not living in fear that she will repeat this word when we are out. At church yesterday this man did not say “where are you from” I said WV and ask if I had a accent. He then did not say “no, you are just never dressed”. I did not laugh out loud. What he meant was I always wear short sleeves and rarely wear a coat. Of course he would not need to ask me this because I am always dressed for the weather. Speaking of church I did not tell my kids that yesterday was our last time at that church and since it was a special day and we did not have Sunday school I did not make a point of NOT telling anyone it was our last week.
As we are saying good byes I have not been totally stoked that friends and people I do not know well have said they read my blog. I never let my pride guide me. Thanks to all of you. Is there something specific you would like to hear me talk about? I am open for suggestions.
Since we are organizing and getting ready to move I did not feed my youngest countless m&m’s to motivate them to clean daily. I do not have 2 more bags to continue to do so.
Ooooh my this one got me in big trouble this week. The tax office did not tell my husband that we would receive a $250 credit for homeschooling. Because I was so excited I did not facebook about such a wonderful thing to only be put in place by several people. Some nice, some well almost had me in tears. I did not then have to take time I do not have to go have them re do my taxes.
This week I went to a thrift shop and was not asked if I qualified for a senior citizen discount. I did not think this young teenager needed a smack to wake her up. I always have my act together better than that.
Because I am so organized I would never leave early enough for a appointment to have time to stop at the store and then forget to stop at the store and show up 45 minutes early. I am much more organized than that.
After a friend taught me to store money in my bra a couple of months ago, I did not use that education to store my camera lens cap for several hours and then my son’s cell phone. I also did not forget that I had both things there. I would never do either of those things and even if I did I would never admit to it.
How has your week gone, anything you want to share with me. Help me feel normal and tell me the things you did NOT do this week.
