Have you heard of Scentsy. I heard of it years ago but did not pay much attention. I think I am addicted to Scentsy now. I love that there are no candles to burn and worry about the kids getting burned with. I love that they look natural setting on the table. I love that I can change the fragnances and not worry about wasting it. My husband recently recieved a Army one to set on his desk at work. And you know what? He can because it is not a candle. Most military housing have now made a rule stating that you can not burn candles. This is a great alternative. If you would like to learn more about scentsy please feel free to check out my friends site. It makes a amazing Christmas gift and it is not too late to order them in time for Christmas.

A scentsy review

I am a winner
Recently I won a book called Battlefields & Blessings. Did you ever think those two words could go together? I wanted to wait until I had a chance to read the book before telling you about it. First, let me say that the condition of the book is one of those books you want to leave setting out. The pages look old on the sides.
So now to the book part. It has been so neat to enjoy the stories and then to have the Bible verses to go with them is wonderful. It has been neat to be able to read them to my husband and have him explain some of the stories. That is nice because it gives us things to talk about.
I won this book from Singing through the Rain. Please check out her blog and tell her I sent you.
If you enjoy giveaways, please come back tomorow because I am hosting my first sponsored give away starting tomorow and I cannot wait to tell you more about it.

Mil Spouse fill in Friday
1. If you were given $1,000 right now, how would you spend it? I would pay to have the dent taken out of my van door, get my hero's truck fixed. Then I would say it is okay to go home for Christmas.
2. If you had to choose a movie title (a real one that already exists) for your life story, what would it be? Mary Poppins, I love taking care of other people's children. Or if I had a wish it would be 19 kids and counting. I would love to have about 6 more kids.
3. If you were a teacher, what subject would you like to teach? home economics, teaching young people to bake and cook and run a house. Some tips we have given up on over the last several years. Or I would want to teach first grade, I love to see the look in a child's face when they catch on to something. That UH HA moment.
4. Has being a MilSpouse changed how you view holidays or how your holidays are celebrated? If so, how? If not, what has not changed? It means so much more to me now, Holidays are marked by deployments. How many holidays has my hero been home for or gone for. It makes those trips home seem that much more important because you never know when you will be together as a family.
5. What is your favorite Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) memory?
Thanksgiving 2005, my baby girl had only been home about a week, she weight 2.12 ounces when she was born. I did not think she would be home for that Thanksgiving and she did.

Fill in the blank Friday
1. Holiday spirit.. So relaxing, a wonderful time to stop and remind your children how blessed you are. A time to reflect on the reason for the season.
2. The holidays are incomplete without.. my hero being home, it just seems weird to have a holiday without him. Without food baking almost daily.
3. My favorite things to do around the holidays is. bake and bake and bake. So far I have made about 45 cups of pumpkin butter and pumpkin rolls and chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin bread. I love making goodies for friends to give out.
4. A holiday tradition my family and I have is.. having pancakes made my daddy for breakfast. Really we should work on some traditions. I can not wait to see what everyone writes so I can copy some of them. I think one should be that mom get's a massage and pedicure on Christmas eve so she can relax.
5. Holiday music is... is relaxing and fun to listen to. Although I think songs about gramma getting ran over by reindeers are lame.
6. This year, I'll be spending the holidays.. with my hero, he is home and I am so excited. We are not traveling this year. We are staying home to enjoy one another. I am really looking forward to it.
7. Holiday wish list...More Willow Tree figurines, Black boots, a clean house and maybe a new purse I have never had a real name brand purse and I think I finally want one.

5 Question Friday
Questions for Friday, December 3rd: (Special thanks to @CarrieWChildren, @HarmonySong, @SigningCharity, Pam, and yours truly, for their question suggestions! Wanna be linked in a future 5QF? Tweet it to me (@5crookedhalos) or visit my community and offer up your best question suggestions!)
1. What's on the top of your holiday wish list and why?! Well we all know I want black boots but I doubt that will happen. HMMM, I really do not have a list. I am such a pill to shop for. I would like fabric to make a new quilt. For the first time ever I have a desire to have a real name brand purse. I also love willow tree and there are several I want. I also have a new love of scentsy so this is on my list.
2. What is your favorite Christmas gift from the past? This is even harder, did I say I am hard to shop for. I can tell you the saddest, my husband has this habit of taking the children to dollar tree and letting them pick out something. I must have 10 sets of razor blades. Please know this is not a money issue this is a common sense issue (did I tell you my husband reads this blog)
3. If you had life to do over, what would you be when you grow up? a mommy and a teacher, exactly what I am. I have to say I have a pretty amazing life and I would not change it.
4. When do you put up your tree? me, never. Honestly I so do not like pulling it all out and doing it. My husband would leave it up year round. He loves it. He normally puts it up the day after Thanksgiving.
5. What is your favorite Holiday? Easter, Because WOW God sent his son for me, for crazy rude, unappreciative me to die on the cross. I can not imagine me ever having to do something like that. I am a free woman because of this selfish act.
