1. What is your favorite/most unique anniversary/birthday gift from your spouse? suggested by Bel at Being a Better Me I would love to say something wonderful but honestly cannot think of anything. 3. What’s one thing in the past month you would have changed? suggested by Erika from Chambanachik that is hard, it has been a busy, crazy, wonderful year. I think I would have liked my life to be a little more organized. You know things like clothes in closets and things in the garage
4. What was your favorite thing that happened in February? Taking my hero away for the weekend and having time to just relax and enjoy each other.
5. What are you looking forward to in March? The flowers coming out and how pretty the grass gets.

Mil Spouse Fill in the blank

Today is Veterans Day. What are you doing on Veterans Day? As a military spouse do you see this as a day to relax because your spouse is off or do you take a couple of minutes and talk to your children about what this day means. What there father is doing and why we should respect him and others like him. Do we take the time to stop and say hello to that elderly veteran walking through the commissary. The one that most have forgotten about.
1. Freedom is taken for granted. Is homeschooling my children? Is singing my praise music, is serving the Lord because I want to not because I am expected to.
2. Veterans are often not thought about, cursed and looked down upon instead of honored and understood. Forgotten, by the medical field once they are no longer serving.
3. This country is one that I will never leave permanently. This country was started with the love of God and sadly is moving farther and farther away from it.
4. Veteran’s Day means a time for others to take half a second and remember our men and women who give to them daily past and present. To think about where we have come from and how many liberties we have because of them.
5. A hero is someon8e who thinks of others first even when they know it is not good for them.

3. If you saw me when I dressed for the formal, you’d think I was a total girly-girl, but if you saw me when I am in my house day in and day out, you’d think I was a tomboy through-and-through.
4. I feel like I’m in a totally different universe when I drive on post and see soldiers marching with weapons. I feel like I am in a foreign country.
5. In honor of this being MFF #60… 60 months ago (exactly 5 years ago, so September 30, 2006) I lived in Huntsville AL and my life was totally different because My baby girl was turning 1 years old and not a big 6 year old.

But the fact that this man works 12+ hour days and then comes home and helps is amazing. The fact that he deploys to Iraq although he has been there before and knows what he is walking into is amazing. I just cannot imagine what he has seen and done and it inspires me to not give up.
4. It’s a weird combination, but I swear French fries and a chocolate milk shake are a perfect pair!
5. Some may see the glass half empty and others may see it half full, but I say pour another glass and see if it comes out better.

4. Fruit or vegetables?
hmm, fruit unless potatoes become a veggie and then veggie all the way. .
5. Motorcycle or bicycle? Neither, I would have to say bicycle for sure but honestly I would not ride both right now

1. When you vacation what type of vacation do you like to take (beach, historic, adventurous, food oriented, etc.)? submitted by Megan Dub-Yuh if it is just my husband and I it would be days spent at a amusement park and evenings spent on a beach. If it was with my blessing I would say someplace historical or food oriented so they could learn something.
2. What is your best memory associated with a song (you know we all have tons!) submitted by Ramblings of a Marine Wife My front porch looking in, because it seems like when my husband deploys that is his song.
3. If you had six months with no obligations or financial constraints, what would you do with your time? submitted by Married to the Army take my hero and my blessings and leave town. 4. Is there anything about deployments that you do like? submitted by The Thrifty Military Wife how much closer i become to my husband. I know that sounds silly but i intentionally am spending time writing everything I do down for him. I take time to learn his snacks and wants and get it for him.

5. I’m starting to run out of questions again… so please give me a question you’d like to see (off-the-wall will most likely make it because we seem to have used a lot of the “traditional” ones). What bank do you use and why? Where do you get your best military discount at? What rank was your husband when he joined the Army and were you married?

1. What is one of the things you always do special when your husband returns from a deployment? submitted by Keep Calm and Soldier On you mean other than a list of things that needs to be fixed. Honestly some of the things we do are take time to just be together, go on picnics. He always takes the kids fishing.

2. What do you do to help your spouse and/or yourself re-adjust after a deployment or long separation? submitted by Diapers, Dogs and Deployments
I make sure he knows where things are, I am constantly moving things and it is horrible to come into a house and not know where the extra shampoo is. I try not to expect anything from him. I try not to ask too much of him.
3. Are you a crazy coupon clipper (I’m becoming one, so share your secrets with me)? submitted by Married My Airman
I wish, I want to be, I just need to know how. I understand how to get the coupons. It is the how they double them and make them work on sale prices that confuses me.
4. What’s your most treasured memory of you and your spouse (not counting your wedding – that’s a given)? submitted by Scrubs, ACUs and One Crazy Ride Several years ago we left the kids with friends and went to Holiday World together. It is a amusement park. I remember we were sword fighting down the side walk. It was so much fun to just relax and have fun together.

1. Have you and your spouse agreed to live in separate locations (a geographical bachelor tour) knowing that the short-term inconvenience would have long-term benefits for your family? How did it work for you? submitted by When Good People Get Together
No, we both agree that if we have any say in the matter we will always be together. Deployments take my hero from me too often. I will not choose to live without him. This is one of the major reasons we homeschool.
2. What is your favorite thing about being a MilSpouse? submitted by Sarah Ruth Today
Seeing my man in uniform. Talking to retiree’s wives about being a spouse and hearing how they did it. I think we have it so easy compared to those poor ladies who went months without word on their spouses.
3. If you could still have your spouse/significant other and your family, but take the military life out of it…would you? submitted by Trust. Love. Believe. Bake.
No… I mean I would but he would not be the same. I love him but the military has changed him in a way that makes him the man he is today.
4. What have your homecoming experiences been like after a year long tour of separation? submitted by Army Soldier, Army Wife DO you mean when he wipes his hands on the curtains thinking they are pull down paper towels. Or when he licks his plate because he forgets I am there, or when he throws the dog into the wall because of his PTSD. Honestly, it is amazing, I love the way it feels when I melt into his arms for the first time. I instantly feel the stress of the last year melting off of me

5. If you have a child(ren) why you chose their name(s)? If not, why you would name your child something? submitted by Tiara’s & ACU’s I chose my daughter’s because there was a nice girl in my highschool with that name. My son was named because it was my husband’s friend growing up (not named after him, he just liked the name). My other girls just fell into it.
