Hope

I love Hope. She is the child who loves to help other people. It is not uncommon for her to clean up someones bedroom for them. I came home today and she had made my bed and straightened my bathroom and cleaned up the boys room. She loves to clean and organize.

No Grace we do not pee outside

This afternoon I was setting on the porch when Grace came out to play. She then proceeds to tell me she has to go pee. I said okay and you will not believe what she did. She acted like she was going to go potty right there. I stopped her and she proceeds to tell me
That her and Hope have potties in the back yard
That they pee outside all day everyday
That the rule is they are not allowed to poop in the backyard only pee
At this point I am trying not to lose it, do you remember our story of Hope peeing in the soap dispenser. If not it is here.
So Grace proceeds to show me how they squat down, who do you think taught them this habit, my wonderful husband did. Hope came outside at this point and I asked her about this and she gave me the deer in the head lights look and then said “well so does Hope”
So I decided to go out back and take pictures of where they are going potty, because isn’t that what any blogging mommy would do. So they walk me over to the three CHRISTmas trees they had described and I see 2 piles of branches and pine cones. As I lift my camera to take a picture they lowered their pants. I about died, I was laughing so hard that I worried I would wet myself. I turned around and walked into the house almost in tears. Both girls were following closely behind asking if they were in trouble, if I was crying and if I was okay.
OOH, I have no idea what I am going to do. Right now as I set here trying not to laugh at them and trying to decide how to handle this Hope is hiding in her room and Grace is cleaning up the living room and making sure I know she is cleaning.
All I can say is CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope

Me: Hope I love you,
Hope: I am going to have 100 kids when I grow up (they are always talking about who is having children and how many)
Me: where are you going to live with all these children
Hope: with you
Me: oh no you are not, because when my children grow up and move out I am going to spend all day smooching daddy
Hope: MOM, my husband and I are going to sleep upstairs and the kids are going to sleep downstairs where you sleep
Me: ooh no, I am not taking care of your kids, how would I smooch daddy with your kids there
Hope: mom, all you do is send the kids outside and make them play and then make them run laps around the house (a common punishment at our house) and then they come in and go to bed
Me thinking: Uh oh, the kids have caught on that we try to make them tired

Hope is ??? years Old

My husband informed me this week that we flunked out of homeschooling. Because Hope does not know how old she is or how old she will be on her birthday. She is seven by the way. She could not wait to decorate her own cake. I made a double batch of purple butter cream icing and she used the entire bowl on her cake. We could not wait to give her the birthday gift we got her. Everyday she makes books, she copies books and decorates them and draws and writes for hours. So for her birthday we bought her a hard cover sketch book and her OWN colored pencils. She has spent all day writting and sketching in her book.

Hope

Hope cracks me up, she is always coming up with something. Anything she does, she does with heart. How she lifted the upper bunk I will never know. So let me explain some of this stuff hanging. The paper with the heart is a TV, then there is the hannah montana guitar for music and the green hat is where she puts two little porcelain dolls to swing them. i can not remember the rest. this is a string of belts and pieces of rope and wallets you hang from your neck. She also has 3 cans of soda, one for her, one for me and one for her daddy. Normally I would not allow this but she has put so much work into her area. She has hung family pictures up. Her bed has definitly turned into her own little space and for now I will let her enjoy it.

Who peed in the soap dispenser

Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar, who me? yes you, couldn't be. then who? I so which this was the story of my day but it is not. The song should go something like this. Who urinated in the soap dispenser, who me? yes you (thinking it would be the only boy in the house) couldn't be. Then who? Who did such a gross horrible thing in the house that bodily functions are not talked about. My precious little six year old. This is how it happened, well we all know how it happend. But this is how I found out.
Hope to mom- showing me the bottle of yellow soap- mom, someone pee'd in the soap
me to hope- no hope it was green soap someone must have mixed it with water making it yellow
hope to me- no mommy it is pee
me to hope- no one would do that give it to me
me- ooh this is warm
me- smelling it like a dummy- OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
me- pour it out IN THE TOILET and wash your hands
20 minutes pass with no one admitting it
okay we all assume it is the boy but if you know my boy you know he would never do that

me to all the kids-okay if you admit it I will not be mad but if no one admits it then dad will pick up the urine and have it tested to see whose it is

hope to us- okay, okay, okay it was me
me to hope- why would you do that, who would do that
hope to us- because I wanted to see if you would wash your hands with it.
WHAT AND DOUBLE WHAT?????????? HOW DID MY CHILD LEARN THIS?
I say all this to say if you are coming to my house, you better smell the soap before using it.
