Mil Spouse fill in Friday

1. A different twist on last week’s question. This week, the first question is: what’s the nicest thing a MILSPOUSE has ever done for you? (brought to you from navy_smurfette)My friend Ginny has been there for me every time I turned around, been there when I did not even know I need help. My friend Kim made the ultimate sacrifice 12 years ago today. She brought home a baby girl from the hospital today (12 years ago). We actually saw her in the parking lot as we were going in for a check up. Two hours later I knocked on her door and said I need you to take Michael for a couple of days while I go into the hospital to deliver a baby I knew would never come home with me

2. How often do you drive faster than the speed limit? I honestly do really good on big roads, it is on post or on small roads that I forget to stay slow

3. Did you have a nickname in school? If so, what was it? If I tell do you promise not to ask why, my nickname in middle school was Kool-aid lips

4. If your life was a book, what would the title be and how would it end? Rescued, Recovered and Reborn. It ends where I am right now, living in a home I feel safe in, not allowing my past to control my future on most days and reborn by a man who sent his only son to die on a cross for me. FOR LITTLE OH ME! how amazing is that

5. Look back (in your planner if you have one) to September 14th… what did you do that day?
hmmm, I was getting a massage while eating fondue and drinking mountain dew with praise and worship music in the background. Then I came home to found a perfectly clean house and children who were dressed and clean. Then I set with a big bag of popcorn and watched a fun movie with these children before tucking them into bed and then I climbed into my bed under a pile of blankets and snuggled with my hero watching a comedy. OH WAIT, I guess that is what I dream of doing. I have no clue what I really did because my date book is in the van and my children are asleep so I can not ask them to go get it.

Fill in the blank Friday

1. My last haircut was.... too long ago to remember

2. My most daring hair moment was... when my husband was deployed and I had a new baby and I went in for a hair cut and had it cut above my shoulders and had it straightened. I loved it. My son did not speak to me for days. My husband never commented until he got home and I went to get it cut and he said "you are not going to do that again"

3. A hairstyle I'd never be brave enough to try is.... every hair style out there, I have never had a style and always dreamed of one. You know, if someone would teach me how to dress (and buy the clothes) and then give me a hair style I would be THRILLED! Just make sure you give me 6 month notice to get in shape.

4. I've always dreamt of being a (blonde, brunette or red-head) red head. A deeper red, like in Pretty Woman Red, Oh man that is my dream hair

5. My go-to hair do is curly and down. Every day in my life. I shower, put a little moose in and dry. Then I just pull the top up. If you have ever met me in the last oh I do not know 20 years that is what I have done

6. My biggest hair disaster was... the day I cut my own hair (I did it all the time). But, I had a big awards ceremony to go to. So I walk up and accept the award (not a big deal) set down and my frien says "Did you cut your own hair" OOPS!

7. A hairstyle I am dying to try is.. Any style, remember I have no hairstyle. Actually I am growing it back out, I love long hair so I can pull it up in a bun and be done

8. My best hair day was... when we went to a ball and the lady listened to me and left the back down but made the top and back beautiful .

9. The worst hairstyle I ever had was Oh man, I was in seventh grade and I was almost bald. Seriously, had spike hair on top, I can not believe it was ever that short. I wish I had a picture

10. My hair is....red/blonde/orange/ gray and curly .

5 Question Friday

1. If you could have any talent and turn it into an occupation, what would it be? I wish my bread was worthy of being sold. No really let me think... okay, it would be decluttering someone's house. I love getting rid of things.

2. Would you rather have a house at the beach or a cabin in the woods? in the woods, deep in the woods. with lots of land. I love the beach but it is way to sunny for my skin. No neighboors, just quiet and maybe some animals

3. Is there any meaning or reasoning for the names you chose for your child/children?
my son was named after my husbands middle school friend. my first daughter was a kinda named after a couple of girls in my high school who were calm and modest and had a kind spirit to them. I would not know those girls if they were setting next to me. So no real meaning to there names. We did name the son we lost after 2 people. Jeremiah after a friends husband and Jason after my brother who had passed away the year before.

4. What is your guilty pleasure? (I know we've done this one before, but I'm guessing people's "guilty pleasures" change frequently. At least, mine do!) swiss cake rolls, no wait it is when I go to the gas station by myself and I pick up a honey bun and a mountain dew. Then eat it while driving. Knowing that once it hits my stomach I will be sick but oh how it taste going down.

5. Do you live in a house that is deep cleaned or straightened? straightened. I am a little (anal, oh how I hate that word) about everything having a spot. But it NEVER get's deep cleaned. Honestly though if you are coming over please give me a hours notice so we can pick up everything.

We are taking Laugh your way to a better marriage. I have never laughed so much. I have learned so much. I want you to hear what he has to say about the difference between a man and woman's brain. Please listen. I think you will laugh and then go UH HA!
