Pinapple Upside down cake

Are you looking for a easy idea for a bake sale, something that looks like it is alot of work but is SOOOOOOOOOOOO easy to make. A couple of years ago I was doing alot of bake sales and one of the ladies always brought pineapple upside down cakes. I am not totally hooked. They are so easy. Buy a boxed pineapple upside down cake mix and a can of pineapple slices and then
1. melt butter and pour in pan
2. sprinkle brown sugar over the butter
3. layer pineapple slices in bottom of pan, some people put a cherry inside each pineapple but I always forget
4. mix the cake mix and pour over the pineapples
bake according to box, then flip it over and you have a beautiful yummy cake. One that never last long enough for a picture here.

yummm... This is one of my favorite cakes from childhood. My grandma makes it just like you described (with cherries) and serves it with a big helping of whipped cream. I have never tried to make it because she doesn't write down recipes. I'll give this a try.

Thanks for visiting me today.
