Can you burn a crayon

We have all seen the post that you can burn a crayon when you need a candle. I have seen it say that it burns for 30 minutes or 3 hours. So I had to try it. We did not use a Crayola brand crayon. It burned for 20 minutes. So I know two things. If there is a emergency and I am out of candles and batteries I can burn our crayons. I may have to put a box in our first aid kit.
