Turning a dress into a skirt

I love yard sales but honestly I can be talked into anything. So this summer we were at a yard sale and were conned into taking this dress for my daughter. I knew it was silly because we do not wear sleeveless dresses. I held onto it thinking I could turn it into a skirt but never took the time. My hero is off this week so I am trying to get caught up on some sewing. I chose my length and cut the top off. Then I cut up the back to take out the zipper. Grace loves it and I love that she has a new skirt.
