James 5:16
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
When I read this verse it hit me in my head. I can see so much intimacy in showing my husband my flaws. Such a hard thing to do.
So how does this have anything to do with military? Today I am asking you how you pray for your spouse. How do you pray for him when he is gone?
I am guarding my words carefully but I want to explain why this is on my mind. My husband is away at a conference right now. They are staying off post in a hotel. Some of the men he is with are frequenting the strip clubs and drinking way more than a drink to relax. Now while my husband is not doing this nor is he being pushed to, I know it must be hard to be around.
I pray for my husband, I pray that he will remain strong in his faith and in doing what he knows to be true and right. I pray that he does not feel like an outsider and has other like minded people around him.
So my question is how do you encourage your husband when he is gone? How does he stay strong?
Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly[a] with your God.

Found you from the blog-hop! I love both of the verses you quoted.
To be honest, I think I need to be better at praying for my marine. I need to have more faith in him as well. But I have lost some when he was on his last port call. I find myself wishing he had the strength to say no to his friends. We have talked about it though so it's somewhat of a relief on my mind. But I pray that he will have the strength to say no whenever his friends ask him next time.
I feel like in my situation my marine stays strong because I am strong. When I am not stressed and putting pressure on him to do the right thing, he does a much better job of doing the right thing on his own.
I let him know that I am still here, that I still care and that he's not "single" when he's away. It seems to be working so far :)
